A concierge medicine founder went on Alex Hormozi's Scale or Fail and admitted something a lot of healthcare business owners are quietly dealing with. He paid an SEO agency $55,000 and got nothing to show for it.
I looked up his practice, My Precision Health, a concierge medicine business in Florida, and audited the site live using Detailed's SEO Chrome extension and Wappalyzer to check the tech stack. What I found is a pattern I see constantly in healthcare marketing. The bones are decent. The execution has holes that are costing them traffic and leads every single day.
Here's the breakdown, and what any healthcare or service based business should check on their own site.
The H1 Tag That Wasn't Actually an H1
The homepage has big, bold text right where an H1 should be. Visually, it reads like a headline. In the code, it isn't tagged as one.
This matters more than people think. The H1 is one of six primary SEO hotspots that Google and AI search tools use to figure out what a page is about. If your builder isn't tagging that headline correctly, you're invisible for the exact keywords you're trying to rank for. This site had strong keywords sitting right there (concierge medicine, primary care optimization, longevity medicine) and none of it was tagged to count.
Check your own homepage. If you're on WordPress, Webflow, or any other builder, confirm your main headline is actually set as an H1 in the code, not just styled to look like one. This is the same fundamental we cover on every healthcare SEO engagement before we touch anything else.
FAQs in the Wrong Place
They had a strong FAQ section, but all of it lived on one standalone page instead of being spread across individual service pages.
That's a missed opportunity twice over. First, FAQs on service pages let you interlink to related content naturally, which helps your whole site rank better. Second, FAQs on service pages let you add FAQ schema markup to each page instead of just one. More pages with structured data means more chances to show up in search and AI answers.
Eight Images, Zero Alt Text
Eight images on the homepage alone with no alt text. The biggest miss was the logo in the navigation, which is prime real estate for a branded keyword. Since navigation elements usually load site wide, fixing that logo's alt text once fixes it across every page.
Alt text isn't just an accessibility box to check. It's free keyword real estate that most sites leave empty.
One CTA, No Middle of Funnel Offer
The only call to action across the entire site was "book a call." That works for people who are ready to buy right now. It does nothing for the much larger group of visitors who are researching, comparing, or not quite ready.
Healthcare and service businesses especially need lower barrier offers. Guides, case studies, or a free consultation checklist all give you a way to capture an email and stay in front of someone who isn't ready to commit yet. This is exactly the kind of gap we close during website optimization work. If your site only has one ask, you're losing everyone who isn't already sold.
Team Bios Trapped in a Lightbox
Their concierge medical team bios open in a pop up instead of a real, indexable page. That means each provider has zero chance to rank on their own. When a prospective patient or referral partner googles a team member's name, there's nothing to find.
Give each team member a real page. It builds credibility, and it gives you another entry point into your site from search.
Comparison Pages Are an AI Search Opportunity
This is the one most healthcare sites still miss. The practice already had a comparison section on the site. Turning that into standalone comparison pages (concierge medicine vs. traditional primary care, for example) targets exactly how people search now, especially in AI tools like ChatGPT. People ask direct comparison questions, and pages built to answer them get cited.
If you're not building comparison content, you're not showing up in the conversations AI search engines are already having about your category. This is the core of what we help clients with under AI and LLM website visibility.
The Real Lesson Here
None of this is exotic. It's foundational SEO that a $55,000 agency should have caught in week one. If you're paying for SEO and you don't know whether these basics are covered, that's worth a second look.
